Getting Started
Creating an account is simple! You can sign up using either method:
- Email and Password: Click "Sign In" in the navigation, then click "Create an account" on the login page, or visit the registration page directly. Enter your email address and create a password. After signing up, verify your email address to activate your account.
- Wallet Connection: Click "Connect Wallet" in the navigation to connect your Web3 wallet (such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, or other supported wallets) and create an account instantly. Your wallet address will be used as your account identifier.
After creating your account, it is recommended to:
- Verify your email address: Check your inbox for a verification email and click the verification link to activate your account
- Complete your profile: Visit the onboarding flow to set up your profile with a bio, or update your profile from Settings
- Explore the feed: Visit the feed to see trading ideas from top performers
- Follow traders: Follow traders whose strategies align with your interests to see their ideas in your feed
- Learn the platform: Check out the How It Works guide for a complete overview
- Try the Assistant: Access the Tradescoop Assistant to get personalized trading insights
Tradescoop has several key sections:
- Feed: Browse trading ideas from the community
- Explore: Discover trending ideas and top traders
- Leaderboard: See top performers ranked by performance metrics
- Dashboard: View platform-wide analytics, top performers, and trending symbols
- Profile: Manage your account and view your personal trading performance analytics (including win rate, ROI, and performance charts)
Free accounts give you access to basic features like browsing ideas, following traders, and limited access to the Tradescoop Assistant (250 research tokens per month). Premium unlocks full analytics, unlimited Assistant access, instant push notifications when traders you follow post new ideas, content monetization through Creator Rewards, and access to premium content. Visit the Premium page to learn more.
Account & Settings
To update your profile, navigate to Settings from the navigation menu. In the "Profile Information" section, you can edit your username and bio. Username must be 2-50 characters and can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores. Bio can be up to 200 characters. Click "Save Profile" to apply your changes.
Password changes are only available for accounts created with email and password. Go to Settings and scroll to the "Account Settings" section. Enter your current password, then create a new password and confirm it. Click "Update Password" to save. Make sure your new password is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters. If you signed up with a wallet connection, your wallet signature serves as your authentication method and no password is required.
Push notifications can be managed through your browser settings. When you first visit Tradescoop, you'll be prompted to allow notifications. You can change these permissions at any time through your browser's notification settings. Email notifications and trade alerts are not currently available, but these features are planned for future updates.
Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Go to Settings and scroll to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom of the page. Click "Delete Account" and type "DELETE" to confirm. Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, trading ideas, and account information will be permanently removed.
Go to Settings and scroll to the "Account Settings" section. Update your email address in the "Email Address" field, then click "Save Email" to apply the change. You'll need to verify your new email address before the change takes effect. Make sure to check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification email.
Trading & Ideas
Click the "Create Idea" button (or the + icon) in the navigation bar. Fill in the required information:
- Idea type: Choose from Stock, Option, or Cryptocurrency
- Symbol: Enter the ticker symbol (e.g., AAPL, SPY, BTC)
- Direction: Select Buy/Long or Sell/Short for stocks and crypto, or Call/Put for options
- For options: Strike price and expiry date
- Analysis & Reasoning: Explain why this is a good trading idea (optional)
- Strategy and Risk: Optional fields to categorize your idea
Tradescoop automatically tracks the performance of all published trading ideas in real-time. The platform calculates key metrics including return on investment (ROI), win rate, and risk-adjusted returns. All performance data is transparent and verified, ensuring accurate representation of trading results.
Visit any trader's profile page and click the "Follow" button. You'll then see their trading ideas in your feed. Premium users can also receive instant push notifications when followed traders post new ideas. You can manage who you follow from your profile's "Following" tab.
The Leaderboard displays top-performing traders and top trades. The Top Traders section ranks traders based on their performance metrics, including win rate, average ROI, and number of ideas. The Top Trades section shows the best-performing individual trading ideas. Both sections are updated in real-time and help you discover top performers. You can filter by time period (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, all-time, and more) and sort traders by risk-adjusted score, win rate, ideas count, or name.
You can only delete draft ideas that haven't been published yet. To delete a draft, go to your idea's detail page and click the delete option. Deleting a draft has no impact on your performance history since it was never published. Once a trade idea is published (active or closed), it cannot be modified—it stays forever.
Premium Features
Premium includes:

Visit the Premium page and click "Upgrade to Pro Trading". You can choose between monthly or yearly billing. A 14-day free trial is available, so you won't be charged until day 15. You can cancel anytime during the trial period.
The Creator Rewards program allows Premium users to earn from their trading ideas. When other users follow your ideas and they perform well, you earn rewards based on engagement and performance. Eligibility requires meeting certain thresholds for followers, impressions, and content quality. Check your Premium Dashboard for your progress.
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings or by visiting the Premium Dashboard and clicking "Manage Subscription". You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.
Tradescoop accepts all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Crypto payment options (native SCOOP, Base, USDC) are coming soon.
Tradescoop Assistant
The Tradescoop Assistant is an AI-powered trading companion that provides research insights, market analysis, and helps you discover trading opportunities. It can analyze market sentiment, track performance metrics, and provide personalized insights based on your preferences. For authenticated users, the Assistant can execute platform operations for you, including organizing your trading ideas, retrieving analytics and performance data, generating summaries, and accessing other Tradescoop features available to your account.
You can access the Assistant by clicking the chat icon in the navigation bar or visiting /chat. Free users get 250 research tokens per month, while Premium users have unlimited access.
You can ask the Assistant about:
- Trending trade ideas and market analysis
- Trading strategies and insights
- Performance metrics and analytics
- Market sentiment and trends
- Help finding ideas similar to your previous trades
- Research on specific stocks or options
Research tokens are used to power the Tradescoop Assistant. Free users receive 250 tokens per month, which reset at the beginning of each month. Premium users have unlimited tokens. Each query uses a small amount of tokens based on the complexity of the request.
To maximize the Assistant's value:
- Be specific in your questions
- Ask about specific symbols, strategies, or metrics
- Use it to research before creating trading ideas
- Ask for analysis of market trends
- Request insights on your trading performance
Payments & Billing
When you upgrade to Premium, you get a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until day 15. You can cancel anytime during the trial period without being charged. If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically continue and you'll be billed on day 15.
Go to your Premium Dashboard and click "Manage Subscription". This will take you to the Stripe customer portal where you can update your payment method, view invoices, and manage your subscription.
You'll be charged on day 15 of your free trial (if you don't cancel), and then on the same date each month (or year, if you chose yearly billing) going forward. You'll receive an email notification before each charge.
There are no refunds on months already used. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect within 24 hours. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. If you have questions about your subscription, please contact the support team.
Yes, you can change your billing cycle at any time from the Stripe customer portal. Access it through your Premium Dashboard by clicking "Manage Subscription".
Troubleshooting
The troubleshooting steps depend on your login method:
- Email/Password:
- Make sure you're using the correct email address
- Check if Caps Lock is on
- Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link
- Verify that your email address has been verified (check your inbox for the verification email)
- Wallet Connection:
- Make sure your wallet is unlocked and connected
- Ensure you're using the same wallet address you used to create your account
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your wallet
- Check that your wallet extension is up to date
- General:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser or incognito mode
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Check your internet connection
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
- Try a different browser
- Check if JavaScript is enabled
- Try incognito/private browsing mode
Check the following:
- Make sure you've allowed notifications when prompted by your browser
- Check your browser's notification settings to ensure Tradescoop has permission
- Verify that your browser supports push notifications (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari all support push notifications)
- Try refreshing the page and allowing notifications again
- Check if your browser is blocking notifications in its privacy settings
Performance data updates in real-time, but there can be slight delays. If your idea's performance seems incorrect:
- Wait a few minutes for data to sync
- Refresh the page
- Verify the symbol is correct
- Check that the idea type (stock, option, or crypto) matches the symbol
- For options, ensure the strike price and expiry date are correct
Tradescoop works best on modern browsers including:
- Chrome (latest version)
- Firefox (latest version)
- Safari (latest version)
- Edge (latest version)
